INFRASTRUCTURE / Financial Times

Blackstone’s $54 Billion AirTrunk Acquisition Closes — Making It the World’s Largest Data Centre Owner

The deal gives Blackstone a dominant position across Asia-Pacific, with operational capacity in Australia, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. Combined with QTS, Blackstone now controls more data centre capacity than any other private investor on earth.

REGULATION / Reuters

SEC proposes new disclosure rules for private fund advisors

If adopted, the rules would require quarterly performance statements and annual audits — significantly increasing transparency for smaller investors who currently have less visibility than institutional LPs.

FARMLAND / Institutional Investor

Nuveen launches first open-end farmland fund for accredited investors at $50K minimum

Targeting US row crop and permanent crop farmland, this is one of the first institutional-quality farmland vehicles accessible below $250K. A sign that the democratisation of alternatives continues to accelerate.

Digital Infrastructure / Goldman Sachs Research

Combined hyperscaler capex exceeds $300 billion in 2025 — up 40% year-on-year

Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Meta collectively spent more on data centre infrastructure in 2025 than the GDP of Finland. Amazon alone has committed over $100 billion in AI-focused data centres through 2028.
